<note>Permukiman memiliki beragam pola seperti seragam, acak, dan mengelompok.
Pola persebaran permukiman dipengaruhi oleh sumber daya air, relief, keadaan
iklim, keadaan ekonomi, dan kultur penduduk. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah
mengetahui pola persebaran permukiman di Kota Bandung berdasarkan kemiringan
lereng. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis tetangga terdekat
(nearest neighbor analysis). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah informasi pola
persebaran permukiman di Kota Bandung. pola persebaran permukiman yang
terbentuk di Kota Bandung pada kemiringan lereng 0–13 % didominasi oleh pola
clustered yaitu seluas 5.473,41 Ha; kemudian pola random seluas 1.996,20 Ha; dan yang paling kecil adalah pola persebaran permukiman dispersed seluas 92,65 Ha. Sedangkan pada kemiringan >14 % tetap didominasi oleh pola clustered seluas
542,06 Ha; kemudian pola random seluas 33,20 Ha.; dan pola persebaran permukiman dispersed seluas 8,68 Ha.</note>
