<note>Komposit merupakan salah satu jenis material di dalam dunia teknik yang dibuat dengan penggabungan dua macam bahan atau lebih yang mempunyai sifat berbeda menjadi satu material baru dengan sifat yang berbeda. Komposit dari bahan serat terus diteliti dan dikembangkan guna menjadi bahan alternatif pengganti logam, hal ini disebabkan sifat komposit serat yang lebih kuat dan ringan dibandingkan dengan logam. Pada Polymer Matrix Composite salah satunya adalah honeycomb sandwich (sarang lebah), panel struktur honeycomb sandwich Composite ini banyak digunakan di dunia industri. Honeycomb sandwich yang akan dibuat terbuat dari matrik dan fiberglass. Dimana matrik tersebut terdiri dari dua bahan yaitu resin dan katalis. Untuk mendapatkan hasil Kekuatan dan kekakuan dari honeycomb maka dilakukan dengan cara pengujian ASTM C393 atau sering dibilang uji bending/tekuk.</note>
