<note>Seiring dengan berkembangnya zaman, banyak produk dengan dimensi besar maupun kecil menggunakan bahan dasar dari material plastik. Injection molding adalah salah satu metode pembentukan produk dengan bahan dasar termoplastik yang dilelehkan akibat pemanasan lalu diinjeksikan ke dalam cetakan sehingga material termoplastik dapat mengeras. Pengembangan teknologi mengenai pengaplikasian material komposit telah sampai pada dunia industri otomotif. Material Komposit pada bidang otomotif biasanya berbahan dasar polimer menggunakan serat sintetis seperti : fiberglass, carbon fiber, dan aramid. Slide piece adalah komponen continuous variable transmission yang berfungsi untuk menjaga posisi rumah roller yang bergerak secara translasi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan untuk membuat cetakan dari komponen slide piece dengan analisis solidworks untuk mendapatkan dimensi sprue, gate dan runner yang efisien dengan mempertimbangkan persyaratan geometri, material, ergonomi, dan produksi. Setelah seluruh persyaratan sesuai, dilakukan penyiapan dokumentasi untuk diproses selanjutnya pada proses produksi. Perancangan cetakan menggunakan mesin injection molding dengan spesifikasi tekanan injeksi yang dapat dikeluarkan maksimum sebesar 34,83 Mpa, volume barrel 270</note>
