Pertumbuhan pengguna kendaraan pribadi sangat begitu pesat, sehingga kota memerlukan angkutan umum masal, seperti hal-nya yang sudah ada di Kota Bandung sudah menyediakan Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) atau Bus Trans Metro Bandung (TMB) salah satu permasalahan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pelayanan angkutan umum adalah jangkauan aksesibilitas halte Trans Metro Bandung yang belum optimal, hal itu dapat dilihat dari jangkauan aksesibilitas pada radius 400m hanya mencapai 20% kelurahan dari 152 kelurahan yang terlayani, sedangkan pada radius 1000m hanya 57% dari 152 kelurahan, artinya masih banyak wilayah-wilayah yang tidak terlayani, untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dibutuhkan penambahan rute baru dan lokasi halte yang baru, demi menekan angka pengguna kendaraan pribadi.
