<note>Kota Jakarta merupakan salah satu kota terbesar di Indonesia, memilikiNpermasalahan transportasi yang sudah dapat dikategorikan sebagai suatuNpermasalah yang cukup kompleks, termasuk kemacetan. Untuk mengatasiNpermasalahan kemacetan tersebut, maka dibangun kereta berkecepatan tinggi diNIndonesia yang menghubungkan Kota Jakarta dengan Kota Bandung di Provinsi Jawa Barat, dengan jarak membentang sejauh 143 km. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan membayar (ability to pay) dan kemauan membayar (willingness to pay) calon pengguna moda transportasi kereta cepat Jakarta Bandung, maka dilakukan penelitian ini. Metode pengumpulan data dengan melakukan survei terhadap pengguna kendaraan pribadi yang berlokasi di Rest Area KM 97 Jalan Tol Padaleunyi menggunakan metode stated preference. Hasil penelitian yaitu nilai kemampuan membayar (ability to pay) responden adalah sebesar Rp319.772,00 dan rata-rata tarif kemauan membayar responden (willingness to pay) sebesar Rp210.347,00.
