This final report was written about modification of hand-tractor and ergonomic analysis of steering assy. The background of these activities was the change of engine specification that will sit on top of the frame and the cost for Indonesian market is relatively high. In first, the report will give a brief about hand-tractor. In addition, introduction about ergonomic knowledge can be found along with explanation decision-making tools that to be used to select among of available concepts. The method is known as Pugh charts. Two developed frame design are presented. First design, frame 01 , was made up from JIS C-section steels measured 75 x 40 x 5. Second design, frame 02, was manufactured from 1" steel circular tube. Both materials were chosen because it is ease to find it in the market. Particularly the JIS C-section steels can be used after several simple processes. The selection went to frame 01 after evaluation design had been done. In fact, almost in all of criterion frame 01 was superior to frame 02. From simple analysis using anthropometry data, to achieve ergonomic steer design, the handgrip height should be 102.70 mm from ground. Refer to references, distance between handgrip have to be measured 620 mm and the handgrip diameter not less than 35 mm. This design modification is to decreased operator effort, increased comfort, and better operator and consumer acceptance.
