ANALISIS PENGARUH MINIPILE DI AREA APRON ABUTMENT TERHADAP PONDASI ABUTMENT PADA TANAH LUNAK (STUDI KASUS JEMBATAN SEI RAMBUT)
A foundation is one of the essential elements of a building, functioning to transfer the structural load above it to the soil layers below. In the case of the Sei Rambut Bridge, soft soil with a depth of 26 meters was found in the apron abutment area. Therefore, soil reinforcement is necessary to ensure that the soil is suitable and safe for construction. Minipiles were chosen as the reinforcement method because they can reduce settlement due to the applied load and improve safety factors.
This study analyzes the effect of minipile reinforcement on the abutment foundation, soil settlement in the apron abutment area, and the safety factor using the PLAXIS 2D program. The minipiles used have dimensions of 30×30 cm, with spacing variations of 1 meter, 2 meters, and 3 meters.
The analysis results show that minipile reinforcement with a 1-meter spacing can reduce settlement by 67%–70%. For the CSP1 foundation, the settlement value is greater when the apron abutment area is reinforced with minipiles, whereas for the CSP2 foundation, the settlement value is smaller when reinforced with minipiles. Additionally, minipile reinforcement affects the internal forces in the CSP2 abutment foundation.
In terms of the safety factor, whether with or without minipile reinforcement, the safety value already meets the requirements of SNI 8460:2017, where all safety factors exceed 1.5.
