<note>Website akademik berperan penting dalam menyediakan layanan informasi, namun masih banyak yang menghadapi masalah aksesibilitas. Observasi awal pada situs Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) salah satu perguruan tinggi di Bandung menemukan kendala seperti kontras warna rendah, ketiadaan alternative text, serta keterbatasan navigasi keyboard. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan User-Centered Design (UCD) untuk merancang antarmuka yang lebih aksesibel menggunakan framework Vue.js, dengan mengacu pada pedoman Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Metodologi penelitian mencakup empat tahap UCD: memahami konteks penggunaan, menentukan kebutuhan pengguna, menghasilkan solusi desain, serta mengevaluasi dengan Heuristic Evaluation dan Python WCAG Checker. Evaluasi heuristik digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah usability berdasarkan 10 prinsip Nielsen, sedangkan Python WCAG Checker dikembangkan untuk menguji kepatuhan otomatis terhadap prinsip POUR (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UCD efektif menghasilkan rancangan antarmuka yang inklusif, Vue.js mendukung implementasi yang efisien, dan Python WCAG Checker terbukti membantu mendeteksi pelanggaran aksesibilitas. Penelitian ini memberikan model pengembangan front-end yang praktis, berkelanjutan, dan sejalan dengan prinsip Green Software Engineering.

Academic websites play an important role in providing information services, yet many still face accessibility challenges. Initial observations of the Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) website at one of the institute in Bandung revealed issues such as low color contrast, missing alternative text, and limited keyboard navigation. This research applies the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach to design a more accessible interface using the Vue.js framework, guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. The research methodology covers four UCD stages: understanding the context of use, specifying user requirements, producing design solutions, and evaluating through Heuristic Evaluation and a Python WCAG Checker. Heuristic Evaluation was conducted to identify usability issues based on Nielsen’s 10 principles, while the Python WCAG Checker was developed to automatically test compliance with the POUR principles (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust). The results show that UCD effectively produced inclusive interface designs, Vue.js supported efficient implementation, and the Python WCAG Checker proved useful in detecting accessibility violations. This study offers a practical and sustainable front-end development model aligned with the principles of Green Software Engineering.</note>
