<note>Penelitian ini membahas analisis efektivitas pelarut Methyldiethanolamine
(MDEA) dalam penangkapan karbon dioksida (CO₂) menggunakan sistem absorber pada berbagai konsentrasi CO₂. MDEA dipilih karena memiliki kapasitas serap yang tinggi, selektivitas yang baik terhadap gas asam, dan kebutuhan energi regenerasi yang lebih rendah dibandingkan pelarut amina primer. Pengujian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi CO₂ pada gas umpan untuk menilai pengaruhnya terhadap efisiensi penangkapan dan stabilitas pelarut. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi penyerapan meningkat seiring dengan kenaikan konsentrasi CO₂ hingga mencapai titik optimum, sebelum menurun akibat kejenuhan larutan. Temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan dalam perancangan dan pengoperasian sistem penangkapan CO₂ yang lebih efisien di sektor industri.

This study discusses the effectiveness analysis of Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) solvent in capturing carbon dioxide (CO₂) using an absorber system at various CO₂ concentrations. MDEA was chosen because it has a high absorption capacity, good selectivity towards acid gases, and lower regeneration energy requirements compared to primary amine solvents. Tests were conducted by varying the CO₂ concentration in the feed gas to assess its effect on capture efficiency and solvent stability. The results show that absorption efficiency increases with increasing CO₂ concentration until it reaches an optimum point, before decreasing due to solution saturation. These findings can be used as a reference in the design and operation of more efficient CO₂ capture systems in the industrial sector.</note>
