<note>Pesisir utara Kabupaten Karawang merupakan wilayah dinamis yang rentan
terhadap perubahan garis pantai akibat faktor alam dan aktivitas manusia.
Perubahan ini menimbulkan risiko bagi lingkungan serta masyarakat pesisir.
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis laju dan pola perubahan garis pantai dengan
membandingkan dua sensor satelit, Sentinel-1 dan Sentinel-2, sehingga diperoleh
gambaran komprehensif mengenai dinamika pesisir. Analisis dilakukan pada
sembilan kecamatan pesisir dengan citra Sentinel-1 (radar) dan Sentinel-2 (optik)
periode 2020 dan 2024. Algoritma Random Forest digunakan untuk
mengklasifikasikan daratan dan perairan, dengan Sentinel-1 berbasis nilai
backscatter VV dan Sentinel-2 menggunakan NDWI. Laju perubahan garis pantai
dihitung menggunakan Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS). Hasil
menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan. Data Sentinel-2 mengindikasikan tren akresi
dominan dengan laju rata-rata +38.76 m/tahun dan akresi tertinggi +198.49 m/tahun
di Kecamatan Cilebar. Sebaliknya, Sentinel-1 menampilkan tren abrasi dominan
dengan laju rata-rata -0.02 m/tahun serta abrasi ekstrem -89.92 m/tahun di
Kecamatan Pakis Jaya. Meski berbeda tren, keduanya konsisten mengidentifikasi
Pedes, Cilebar, Tempuran, dan Cilamaya Wetan sebagai zona akresi stabil.
Perbedaan ini menegaskan bahwa karakteristik sensor dan periode akuisisi citra
sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil analisis garis pantai. Temuan penelitian
memberikan informasi mengenai wilayah rentan seperti Pakis Jaya serta wilayah
stabil seperti Cilebar dan Pedes, yang bermanfaat dalam mendukung perencanaan
ruang dan mitigasi bencana pesisir.

The northern coast of Karawang Regency is a dynamic area that is highly
vulnerable to shoreline changes caused by both natural factors and human
activities. These changes pose significant risks to the environment and coastal
communities. This study aims to analyze the rate and pattern of shoreline change
by comparing two satellite sensors, Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2, in order to provide a
comprehensive understanding of coastal dynamics. The analysis was conducted in
nine coastal sub-districts using Sentinel-1 (radar) and Sentinel-2 (optical) imagery
from 2020 and 2024. The Random Forest algorithm was applied to classify land
and water, with Sentinel-1 utilizing VV backscatter values and Sentinel-2 using the
Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI). Shoreline change rates were
calculated using the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS). The results revealed
significant differences between the two datasets. Sentinel-2 indicated a dominant
accretion trend with an average rate of +38.76 m/year and the highest accretion of
+198.49 m/year in Cilebar Sub-district. In contrast, Sentinel-1 showed a dominant
erosion trend with an average rate of -0.02 m/year and the most extreme erosion of
-89.92 m/year in Pakis Jaya Sub-district. Despite these contrasting trends, both
datasets consistently identified Pedes, Cilebar, Tempuran, and Cilamaya Wetan as
stable accretion zones. These differences highlight the strong influence of sensor
characteristics and image acquisition periods on shoreline change analysis. The
findings provide valuable information on vulnerable areas such as Pakis Jaya and
stable zones such as Cilebar and Pedes, which can support coastal spatial planning
and disaster mitigation efforts in Karawang Regency.</note>
