Dampak negatif dari fenomena fatherless masih belum banyak diketahui oleh masyarakat secara luas. Media yang membahas secara mendalam mengenai dampak negatif dari fatherless, khususnya bagi remaja, masih terbatas. Tujuan perancangan ini adalah merancang zine yang mampu meningkatkan kesadaran orang tua, khususnya ayah, mengenai pentingnya keterlibatan secara psikologisnya dalam kehidupan anak pada masa remaja. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui penyebaran kuesioner daring dan studi literatur. Data yang dikumpulkan berfokus pada pengalaman anak fatherless serta persepsi masyarakat terhadap peran ayah dalam pengasuhan. Hasil dari perancangan ini berupa zine yang menyampaikan pesan melalui ilustrasi dengan pendekatan kreatif playing with time dan majas personifikasi, untuk menggambarkan kondisi di waktu tertentu seperti masa depan. Diharapkan dengan hadirnya zine ini, orang tua ataupun calon orang tua dapat lebih memahami dampak psikologis dari ketidakhadiran peran ayah, serta mendorong untuk membangun hubungan yang lebih sehat dan memutus pola asuh yang tidak sehat.

The negative impacts of the fatherless phenomenon are still not widely known by the general public. Media that thoroughly discusses the negative effects of fatherlessness, especially on adolescents, remain limited. The purpose of this design project is to create a zine that raises awareness among parents—particularly fathers—about the importance of psychological involvement in their children’s adolescent years. The method used in this design is a qualitative descriptive approach through the distribution of online questionnaires and literature studies. The data collected focuses on the experiences of fatherless children and public perceptions of the father’s role in parenting. The outcome of this project is a zine that conveys messages through illustrations using creative approaches such as playing with time and personification, to depict conditions at specific moments, such as the future. It is hoped that this zine will help parents and prospective parents better understand the psychological impact of an absent father figure, and encourage the development of healthier relationships and the breaking of unhealthy parenting cycles.
