Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang shoulder bag berbahan Pull Up Leather dengan aplikasi jahitan sashiko sebagai elemen struktural yang meningkatkan estetika dan kekuatan produk. Pull Up Leather dipilih karena sifatnya yang kuat, tahan lama, serta memiliki tampilan elegan yang semakin menarik seiring pemakaian. Untuk mendukung konstruksi sekaligus memberikan sentuhan dekoratif bernilai tradisional, teknik jahitan sashiko diterapkan sehingga menghasilkan tas yang kokoh, unik, dan modis. Perancangan ini merupakan bagian dari koleksi terbaru SIMA yang menghadirkan produk dengan desain inovatif dan karakter khas lokal. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi kebutuhan konsumen, eksplorasi desain, pengembangan pola dan fitur, serta prototyping dan evaluasi berdasarkan respon pengguna. Hasil desain berupa shoulder bag yang sesuai dengan ergonomi dan fungsi segmen pengguna SIMA. Produk diuji dari segi kenyamanan dan estetika dengan hasil memuaskan, mendukung penggunaan material dan teknik jahitan sashiko sebagai elemen struktural inovatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan desain shoulder bag berbahan Pull Up Leather untuk segmen pengguna SIMA Local Brand dengan jahitan sashiko sebagai elemen struktural utama.

This research aims to design a shoulder bag made of Pull Up Leather with sashiko stitching applied as a structural element that enhances both the aesthetics and durability of the product. Pull Up Leather is chosen for its strength, durability, and elegant appearance that becomes more attractive with use. To support the construction and provide a decorative touch with traditional value, the sashiko stitching technique is applied, resulting in a sturdy, unique, and fashionable bag. This design is part of SIMA’s latest collection, which presents products with innovative designs and distinctive local character. The methods used include consumer needs observation, design exploration, pattern and feature development, as well as prototyping and evaluation based on user feedback. The resulting design is a shoulder bag that conforms to the ergonomics and functionality for SIMA’s user segment. The product was tested for comfort and aesthetics with satisfying results, supporting the use of materials and sashiko stitching as an innovative structural element. This study produces a shoulder bag design made of Pull Up Leather for the SIMA Local Brand user segment, featuring sashiko stitching as the main structural element.
