One of the factors that affect the accuracy of the GPS survey is data processing strategy. The purpose of the data processing strategy is how we implement or perform processing of GPS data to obtain the desired accuracy. Selection of satellites considered not good is an effort to increase the accuracy of the point. This study discusses about the technique of selecting satellites in the GPS data processing in order to increase the accuracy of the point. Processing of the data in this study applied two models, that are processing of data by selecting the satellite as seen from skyplot and processing of data without regard skyplot. The results showed that the value of the error ellipse and the standard deviation of the data processing with satellite screening technique is seen by the skyplot and satellite visbility was moreaccurate than the data processing without reviewing the skyplot. The average value of error ellipse and standard deviation resulting from both data processing methods applied is ± 0066 m, ± 0.070 and ± 0.209 m, ± 0.217 m.
