<note>Tanah adalah gumpalan atau komposisi butiran-butiran mineral dan materi organik yang
mempunyai ikatan relatif lemah antar butirannya, terdapat dari permukaan bumi hingga ke
lapisan batuan padat. Di daerah Conggeang Sumedang ini terdapat kandungan mineral yang
perlu diperhatikan yaitu kandungan mineral Montmorillonite. Kandungan yang signifikan
pada tanah ini akan menyebabkan tanah mengembang. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh mineral
montmorillomite terhadap stabilitas lereng maka di perlukannya analisis dengan cara grafik
pengaruh mineral montrillonite terhadap parameter kuat geser tanah dan melakukan analisis
stabilitas lereng dengan menggunakan software plaxis 2D. Pada analisis grafik pengaruh
didapat pengaruh kandungan mineral montmorillonite terhadap parameter kuat geser
tanahdan analisis plaxis 2D akan didapat nilai safety factor. Darihasil analisis dapat
menyimpulkan besarnya pengaruh kadar montmorillonite terhadap stabilitas lereng.</note>
