<note>Perkerasan merupakan struktur utama pada landas pacu harus mempunyai kekuatan dan kestabilan yang tinggi. Perkerasan berfungsi sebagai lapisan permukaan landas pacu untuk menahan tumpuan rata-rata pesawat pada saat pendaratan dan lepas landas.
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai perencanaan tebal perkerasan kaku bersambung tanpa tulangan dengan metoda FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).
Perkerasan kaku bersambung tanpa tulangan ada dua macam: perkerasan tanpa lapisan pondasi bawah dan perkerasan dengan lapisan pondasi bawah.
Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketebalan perkerasan kaku adalah: lalu lintas pesawat yang dinyatakan dalam ramalah lepas landas tahunan, berat lepas landas maksimum dan tipe konfigurasi roda kendaraan utama dari setiap tipe pesawat, harga modulus reaksi tanah dasar atau modulus reaksi gabungan dan kuat tarik lentur beton.
