<note>Deep foundation is a pile or group of piles which transfers
load of upper structure to bearing stratum through a thick
weak soil layer or water.
Pile can be supported by bearing stratum, called point
Bearing Pile (End Bearing pile), also can be supported by
skin friction of weak soil layer, called Floating pile (skin
Friction Pile), or both.
Base on data evaluation, for sub surface condition in Jl.
Raya Rancaekek No. 26, Kabupaten Bandung, the recommended
foundation is Floating pile.
For Floating Pile, settlement is an important problem beside
bearing capacity.
Bearing capacity limitation results allowable Load of pile
(working load) and pile depth. settrement limitation gives
minimum distance of column.
