<note>Permasalahan mengenai kelongsoran sering dijumpai dalam rekayasa teknik sipil,
masalah kelongsoran biasa dijumpai pada tanah lunak namun pada kenyataannya tanah
pasir mempunyai potensi mengalami kelongsoran. Hal ini dikarenakan karateristik dari
tanah pasir yang memiliki pori besar dan menyebakan tekstur tanah menjadi lepas.
Berdasarkan hal tadi mengakibatkan stabilitas tanah menjadi buruk. Stabilitas tanah yang
buruk menyebabkan mudahnya terjadi kelongsorran hal ini dikarenakan rendahnya kuat
geser tanah. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengetahui kestabilan lereng maka dibuatlah
pemodelan pada kasus ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh
tingkat kepadatan tanah dan kelandaian lereng terhadap kestabilan lereng. Metode yang
digunakan pada analisis stabilitas lereng ini adalah menggunakan limit equilibrium
method dan finite elemen method. Hasil nilai keamanan dari kedua metode tersbut
dibandingkan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar perbedaan nilai keamanan dari kedua
metode tersebut.</note>
