<note>Tanah sangat berpengaruh penting pada pekerjaan konstruksi karena semua pekerjaan
konstruksi sangat didukung oleh tanah. Kondisi tanah yang tidak baik membuat struktur
menjadi tidak stabil. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi kondisi tanah yang tidak stabil adalah
perbaikan tanah dengan menggunakan drainase vertikal. Penelitian ini menggunakan soil model
Mohr Coloumb yang terdapat pada PLAXIS. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengetahui perbandingan penurunan dan waktu penurunan akibat konsolidasi pada tanah
lempung lunak dengan menggunakan Plaxis 2D AE dan 3D AE, serta mengetahui tekanan air
pori pada masing-masing pemodelan. Dari hasil analisis diketahui bahwa penurunan dan waktu
penurunan yang terjadi pada PLAXIS 2D dan 3D tanpa PVD adalah sama. Tetapi saat
digunakannya PVD pada PLAXIS 2D dan 3D terdapat perbedaan. Perbedaan antara PLAXIS
2D dan 3D ditinjau dari pemasangan pola PVD, jarak antar PVD, serta kedalaman PVD.</note>
