<note>Penelitian ini membahas tentang perancangan prototype dari quality prediction system yang didapat dari hasil proses data mining. Sistem tersebut digunakan untuk membantu perusahaan bidang offset printing untuk memprediksi serta memonitor kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Perancangan prototype ini dilakukan karena perusahaan sulit mengendalikan dan mencegah kecacatan produk. Produk cacat selalu dievaluasi setelah produk melewati proses produksi, namun hal tersebut tetap merugikan perusahaan. Perancangan ini akan membantu perusahaan mencegah dan mengendalikan produk cacat pada saat sebelum proses produksi. Untuk mencegah dan mengendalikan produk cacat dengan cara memprediksi, prototype ini membutuhkan hasil formulasi model sebagai pendukung langkah quality prediction. Formulasi model tersebut didapat dari hasil proses data mining yang dilakukan terhadap data cacat perusahaan selama 1 tahun. Data tersebut akan melewati beberapa tahap seperti pengumpulan dan seleksi data, pre-processing data, knowledge extraction, dan knowledge presentation. Untuk mendapatkan model tersebut juga membutuhkan algoritma untuk mengekstraksi informasi yang didapat dari data produk cacat tersebut. Hasil model yang didapat akan divalidasi dengan simulasi menggunakan prototype yang dirancang dengan bahasa pemrograman hypertext preprocessor (PHP).</note>
