<note>Kunyit putih (Curcuma zedoaria) merupakan salah satu tanaman berkhasiat yang dapat diolah menjadi obat herbal karena terdapat kurkuminoid. Kurkuminoid yang terdapat pada kunyit putih dapat diperoleh dengan proses ekstraksi metode sokletasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menetukan faktor-faktor yang paling berpengaruh pada proses ekstraksi kurkuminoid dari kunyit putih (Curcuma zedoaria), mengetahui kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder dan aktivitas kanker leukemia sel murine P-388 terhadap kurkuminoid. Kunyit Putih diekstraksi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70 dan 96%, dengan perbandingan nisbah bahan baku dengan pelarut 1:6 dan 1:8. Rimpang kunyit putih diekstrak dengan variasi selama 2, 3, 4 dan 5 jam. Parameter yang akan diteliti antara lain perolehan kurkuminoid, konsetrasi akhir kurkumin, uji metabolit sekunder serta uji sitotoksisitas sel murin leukimia P-388 terhadap kurkuminoid. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh %yield tertinggi kurkuminoid pada konsentrasi etanol 96%, waktu ekstraksi 5 jam dan nisbah bahan baku dengan pelarut 1:8 sebesar14,671%.

ABSTRACT White turmeric (Curcuma zedoaria) is one of the medicinal plants that can be processed into herbal medicine for their kurkuminoid. Kurkuminoid contained on white turmeric can be obtained by extraction process soxhletation method. This study aims to determine the factors that most influence the kurkuminoid extraction of white turmeric (Curcuma zedoaria), determine the content of secondary metabolites, and cancer activity murine leukemia P-388 cells against kurkuminoid. White Turmeric extracted using ethanol 70 and 96%, with the ratio of raw material to solvent ratio of 1: 6 and 1: 8. White turmeric extracted with variations for 2, 3, 4 and 5 hours. The parameters to be studied include yield kurkuminoid, kurkumin levels, test secondary metabolites as well as test P388 leukemia cancer cell activity against kurkuminoid. Based on results of this study showed the highest %yield kurkuminoid ethanol at a concentration of 96%, the operating time of 5 hours, and the ratio of raw material to solvent 1: 8 amounted to 14.671%.
